John M Patton Jr of Coatesville Pa, passed away on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 surrounded by family. He was 72 years old.

Jack lived quite the life. He spent his younger years as a volunteer fire fighter with 1st West Chester Fire Co. and drove ambulance for Good Fellowship. He was a clinical scientist for Wyeth/Pfizer for 36 years, traveling for many years where he got to see different parts of the world.

He loved sports, umpiring baseball being one of his favorite pastimes and hobbies which he did for 25 years. He loved music; having an anecdote or fact about a song’s origin, musician, or concert memory for just about any song that came on the radio.

He loved his wife and his children and was involved in and supported all their dreams over the years. He loved spending time by the pool, in the yard, watching his tv shows, and just living life. As he would say, “Any day you wake up and put two feet on the floor is a good day.”

In later years he enjoyed his retirement with his grandkids, as a “best bud” and much loved “best ever” Pop Pop.

He is survived by his two children; his daughter Emily Patton and her husband Edward; his son Jonathan Patton and his wife Holly, along with their children (his grandchildren) Ellie and Aiden, and of course his faithful companion Gizmo, who never left his side.

He is predeceased in death by his father John Mateer Patton, his mother Margery Morgan Patton, and the love of his life and soul mate, Andrea Marie Toth Patton.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday May 11th, 2024 at Maclean Chamberlain Funeral Home, 339 W Kings Highway, Coatesville Pa 19376.

Visitation starts at 11am for family and friends and service will be held at 12pm.
