Karim Doumit, 86 of Coatesville, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 13, 2024 while surrounded by family. Karim was born November 7, 1937 in Lebanon to Melhem and Saidee Doumit. He is survived by and was the loving brother of his sister Jamal Doumit and brother Faraj Doumit and is preceded in death by his sisters Wadad AlShakah, Helene Aftimos, brother Jirji Doumit. He was also the adored Uncle of Abdelkarim AlShakah, Jamal AlShakah, Aftimea Madanat, Saidee Habib, Gitta Doumit, Nicolette Aftimos, Jezel Bush, Nicola Aftimos, Fadi Doumit, Marie Doumit, Rabih Doumit, George Doumit, Steve Doumit, and Marlene Doumit. He is preceded in death by his niece Samira AlShakah and nephews Attieh Sfetkof and Afif Doumit. He was deeply spiritual and a devoted parishioner and Alter Server at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Coatesville, PA.

His family describes him as one of the kindest souls you could ever meet—think of a teddy bear with a PhD in hugging. He was always ready with a smile, a warm embrace, and a heartfelt “you good in my book” whenever you needed it. He was the undisputed champion of collecting—keychains were his thing! He also turned international coins into prayer beads, proving that even currency wanted a piece of his generosity. And if you were fortunate enough to receive one of his custom-made bracelets, complete with your name, you knew you were part of an exclusive club—members of “Karim’s Krafts.”

His endless kindness and radiant smile will be deeply missed, but his love for card games will continue to keep family gatherings lively. His spirit will live on every time a deck is shuffled and a hand is dealt, reminding us all that he is still there.

He spent his last days being cared for by his niece Ghada Doumit and great niece Ashley Sfetkof, whom he lived with.

A viewing is scheduled for 10:00 am and funeral service at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 19th, 2024 at Maclean-Chamberlain Home Inc. located at 339 W Kings Hwy Rt. 340, Coatesville, PA 19320 followed by the Burial at Fairview Cemetery Coatesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, in memory of Karim Doumit.
